Health Protection Scotland (HPS)
In February 2015, Health Protection Scotland (HPS) published their Standards for Infection Control Precautions (SICPs).
These standards outline the 10 key elements to reducing the risks of infection for patients in all healthcare settings in Scotland and are relevant in any care environment.
Standards for Infection Control Precautions
The SICPs is the first part of the National Infection Control Policy manual 2015 for NHS Scotland.

These 10 elements include key standards aimed at reducing the risks of healthcare associated infection and ensuring safe effective care for all, regardless of the care area.
